Shiny New Idea!
Okay, so I am very excited about a new story idea that I'd like to just delve into now.
Note: For the time being, I do plan to keep working on the Crimson Red story. It might be going at a snail's pace, but that's still something.
So, the excitement comes from watching the Irish Reader reading "Life and Death" by Stephanie Meyer. I am going to spoil something about the ending of the book, so here's your spoiler warning.
Basically, Bo (Bell's gender-swapped name) ends up becoming a vampire by the end of the novel. Kevin says something along the lines of: "Imagine if Bella had become a vampire from the very beginning." And so I did.
My mind has come up with the first few lines (which I need to write down as soon as I finish writing this post) and my mind is spinning with questions and thoughts that are going too fast for my fingers to type down. I might actually try thinking out loud to record my thoughts, then type things up from there.
Now, I know that every story has been done before, so there has to be a story or two that has done this before. I will figure out how to handle that later and get my thoughts out as best as I can today. Also, I'm not sure if I want to go with the lead being a vampire, but they will be a humanoid being. So, I have research to dig into.
So, the concept is this: The main character has woken up and is now some kind of humanoid creature. Her journey is to discover who she was, what she is now, and what the future holds.
This is mostly very exciting because it's a new concept and there are a lot of possibilities here. What I need to do now is dig deeper into this idea and find out some solid details that can be very exciting.
It's now time for a new writing adventure!
